Our story

One family, two countries, one table

From Bolivia to Geneva, Acacia's story is above all that of a family who chose to share their table the way you share your home.

The arrival

An opening in 2020, against all odds

Carolina and Gilberto have lived in Geneva for many years. It was in 2020 that they finally opened their own restaurant — the year everything came to a halt. They held on, and they're still here today.

The house cooking

Charbonnade, an idea that suits them

No Bolivian menu here, but a generous grill built for gathering around the table. Charbonnade — all-you-can-eat grilled meat shared without counting — became the house signature: a way of making meals last that truly suits them.

Les Acacias, a neighbourhood, a name

A nice geographical coincidence

The restaurant is named after the Geneva neighbourhood that hosts it, Les Acacias. A nod the family happily embraced: Carolina and Gilberto have lived in the area for twenty years now, always staying close to this corner of Geneva. No wonder it feels like home, in a neighbourhood that watched them grow.

A table set and ready to welcome guests

Today

A table open to everyone

Today, Acacia is a place people come to for a weekday lunch with colleagues just as much as for a family meal. The door stays open, and so does the table.
